Finance Associate

Do you have what it takes to join Maryland's top fundraising team? 

Rice Consulting, Maryland’s top fundraising firm serving Democrats, non-profits, and progressive organizations is looking for a full-time Finance Associate to support the fundraising efforts of our clients. These campaigns and clients include, but are not limited to, Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, Kweisi Mfume for Congress, Speaker Adrienne Jones, the National Folk Festival in Salisbury, Maryland, over 20 members of the Maryland General Assembly and numerous Baltimore City campaigns.  


Field: Political Fundraising and Strategic Outreach; Non-Profit Fundraising

Start Date: Immediate, no later than January 2, 2020

End Date: May 1, 2020, with potential for regular, full-time employment thereafter

Hours: 5 days/week, M-F, occasional weekend and evening events

Hourly Wage: $12-$20/hour, commensurate with experience

Description: Rice Consulting is a political consulting firm offering both fundraising services and general strategic advice to Democratic candidates across the state of Maryland. We also work with several non-profit clients, including Pets on Wheels of Maryland and the National Folk Festival, managing fundraising and communications.



  • Executing fundraising events 

    • Working with event hosts and venues

    • Making follow-up calls

    • Assisting with event registration

  • Staffing Client Call Time

    • Creating databases and call time sheets

    • Staffing client fundraising calls

    • Prospecting for donors

    • Researching and adding or updating donor contact information

  • Completing general finance tasks

    • Entering contributions into databases

    • Assisting with check processing

    • Answering phone, interacting with donors



Computer Skills: Excel, Microsoft Office, NGP

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Clear written and oral communication skills.

Keen attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks.
