TITLE:  Campaign Finance Compliance & Database Director

REPORTS TO: President

DATE:  February 10, 2021

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

SUMMARY: Campaign Finance Compliance & Database Director is responsible for completing campaign finance compliance for clients, processing contributions, maintaining meticulous records, and managing multiple client databases for Democratic political fundraising and strategy firm. 

 

DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS:

 

  • Process client contributions and expenditures via cash, check and credit card in compliance with Maryland Campaign Finance Law. 

  • Complete and file campaign finance reports for clients participating in the 2022 Gubernatorial Election year.

  • Complete any filings outside of Campaign Finance Reports required by the State Board of Elections.

  • Maintain client finance records and process expenditures from client accounts.

  • Work closely with campaign Treasurers pursuant to Campaign Finance Compliance.

  • Reconcile all databases, bank accounts and merchant accounts monthly and submit to Treasurers monthly account balance sheets.

  • Maintain systematic electronic and paper files pursuant to client compliance.

  • Maintain donor records in various databases. 

  • Build databases of donors and run reports.

  • Attend client meetings. 

  • Become fluent in Maryland’s Campaign Finance Law.

  • Become fluent in all aspects of NGPVAN campaign database Software.

 

COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

  • Past campaign finance experience is an asset but not required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and familiarity with databases

  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format

  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities

  • Strong and effective organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Responsible for reliable transportation for local travel

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 1 – 2 years related experience and/or training.

Noise level is moderate.
